Mason Legal Costs was founded by Belinda Mason, a highly experienced legal costs consultant with more than two decades of experience in the legal costs profession.

Belinda began her career in 2001 with one of Queensland’s largest legal cost consulting firms, where she developed extensive expertise in legal costing and costs disputes. She went on to establish and successfully operate her own legal costing practice in New South Wales for 10 years before returning to Queensland.

Belinda holds an Arts/Law degree from The University of Queensland and a Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law (NSW). She was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2004.

Over the course of her career, Belinda has worked with law firms ranging from boutique practices to large national firms, as well as major insurance companies. She has extensive experience in complex legal costs disputes, including matters involving millions of dollars in disputed costs.

Belinda is also an experienced presenter, having delivered Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminars for commercial legal education providers and at the request of members of the legal profession.

She is an active member of the Queensland Law Society and is appointed as a Court Appointed Costs Assessor in Queensland.

With extensive industry experience, legal qualifications and a practical understanding of complex costs matters, Belinda provides trusted legal costs expertise to the legal profession.
